A pregnant woman's first visit to the doctor: When and why?
As soon as you find out you're pregnant, you should visit your gynecologist as soon as possible. This visit is important to confirm the pregnancy, determine the fetus's position, and conduct basic tests.
The doctor will calculate your due date and reassure you of the things you need to pay attention to during the first months, such as diet, vitamins, and iron levels.
Each visit thereafter is to check the fetus's growth, check blood pressure and weight, and listen to the baby's heartbeat.
